Senior Technical Accountant: Dedicated Funds
(for a permanent contract)

Overall purpose / and or objectives of the job:
  • Manage overall accounting of Luxembourg based insurance companies specialized in dedicated funds.
  • Produce annual accounts and reports, minutes and liaise with external contacts such as auditors.
  • Principal responsibilities, tasks, duties:
    • Produce monthly results
    • Produce reporting package to management (figures and comments on change in technical, new production…)
    • Produce profitability analysis per product and sales channel
    • Produce quarterly reporting to CAA
    • Produce monthly reporting to fiscal representatives in Spain, Portugal
    • Produce monthly reporting to Belgium tax administration

    Profile:
    • Academic knowledge, Education level & Work experience:
      • Bachelor in Law or Economics
      • Other education may be considered depending on the profile of the candidate
    • Technical skills:
      • 4 - 6 years’ experience within Financial services (preferably Life Insurance) with specific experience in a similar position
      • Microsoft Office applications (user)
      • Knowledge of dedicated funds, regulations, rules (circular 08/1), IFRS

      Project Officer
      (for a 6 months contract)

      Objectives of the position:

      Assist the Project Manager in various tasks linked to the management of Product development projects.

      Tasks & responsibilities:
      • Organize and attend meetings on various product development projects as deemed appropriate by the Project Manager.
      • Draft meetings minutes.
      • Create, follow up and update project schedules.
      • Participate to the follow-up of some projects.
      • Update and create various templates for PMO.
      • Assist the Project Manager on the updates of the Dashboard for Executive committee.
      Profile:
      • Academic knowledge, Education level:
        • University degree (3 of 4 years) preferably in Economics, Business Administration…
        • First work experience in Project Management is a strong asset.
      • Technical skills:
        • A professional experience in financial sector is another asset.
        • Able to use software tools such as: MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
      • Soft skills:

      Payment & Control Administrator - Surrenders
      (for a permanent contract)

      Objectives of the position:

      Ensure the daily administrative treatment of all payments and provide a quality support to our several clients.

      Tasks & responsibilities:
      • Check of the surrenders and death claims imputed by the Back-Office Team and New Business Team.
      • Payments of surrenders, regular withdrawals by various banking payments systems, handling of files for follow up.
      • Payments by cheques : check and preparation of files , drawing of cheques, booking of the amounts with our intermediary banks.
      • Identification and follow up of the returned amounts.
      • Surrenders reconciliation with the Accounting Department.
      • Advise the Treasury Department to manage the Cash Flow.
      • Ensure the timely execution of the client instructions with the highest respect of the Compliance procedures.
      • Frequent contact with brokers, clients and Quality Service Desk & Sales Consultants on administrative matters.
      • Support the IT development team by means of testing of Business processes.
      Profile:
      • An experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar position would be considered an advantage

      Officer - Dedicated Fund Business
      (for a fixed term period at start)

      Objectives of the position:

      Based on his/her experience in servicing wealth planning solutions involving life insurance wrapper to high net worth individuals, the Officer – Dedicated Fund Business will deliver the best possible service to both internal customers and externals clients including our business partners, in terms of back office duties.

      Tasks & responsibilities:
      • Dedicated funds policy management: Policy Administration, such as new issues, policy modifications, surrenders, monthly/quarterly portfolio valuations, transactions on the portfolio, special cases including the management of unquoted securities underlying the insurance policy.
      • Business partners relations: Direct contact with custodian banks, investment managers and intermediaries on an ad-hoc basis, either linked to policy administration or procedures.
      • Assist in setting up new relationship with potential business partners. Agreements to be completed include, but are not limited to, custodian agreements, investment management agreement and share purchase agreements.
      • Handling of correspondence with clients and business partners in coordination with the front office either linked to policy administration or procedures.
      • Administration procedures: Development and improvement of business procedures within the administration
      • Participate in business development projects at group level
      • Coordinate with the compliance department in relation to handling of potential litigations arisen from the dedicated fund business
      Profile:
      • At least 3 years experience in the life insurance industry in Luxembourg, ideally with experience of servicing dedicated fund business, including investments into unlisted equities
      • Fluent in Dutch, French and English

      Contract Administrator
      (for a fixed term period at start)

      Tasks & responsibilities:

      Handle the administration of the client’s policies and provide clients, brokers and sales teams with a quality support.


      Issue Policy Schedules for new clients.
      • Daily data entry into the contract administration system and control of the newly received client instructions, such as surrenders, switches and administrative changes.
      • Ensure the timely execution of the client instructions with the highest respect of the Compliance procedures.
      • Frequent contact with brokers, clients and Quality Service Desk & Sales Consultants on administrative matters.
      • Sending new policy schedules and confirmation of all transactions via annex document.
      • Support the IT development team by means of testing of Business processes.

      (for a permanent contract)

      Objectives of the position

      Key point of contact for broker, client and sales and has to provide assistance at all levels sales – sales support – quality check.

      Senior Officer – Dedicated Fund Business
      (for a permanent contract)

      Objectives of the position

      Sales Manager Dedicated Funds
      (for a permanent contract)

      Objectives of the position
      Based on his/her experience in servicing wealth planning solutions involving life insurance and pension savings to HNWIs in our core countries, the Manager will deliver the best possible service to both our existing and new business partners with the purpose of developing annual new sales in the range of € 50 – 100 m.

      It is expected that, after a short period of time, the Manager will be able to service some 10 active business partners in cooperation with our middle office team.

      Tasks & responsibilities
      • Being the point of contact regarding the day-to-day business with our existing business partners to follow up on agreed action plans in order to achieve the projected sales targets
      • Identifying and negotiating new business opportunities with our existing and new business partners
      • Coordinating resources and deliveries in coordination with our internal teams such as Middle Office, Tax & Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Actuary
      • Identifying synergies between our asset & fund managers/custodian banks and our external tax & legal advisors etc.

      Profile
      • At least 5 years experience in the cross-border life insurance and pension savings industry in Luxembourg or Ireland
      • Fluent in any major European language in addition to an excellent knowledge in English/French
      • Stress resistant
